Soundtrack Updated

Soundtracks can make an enormous impact on any film, a good soundtrack can enhance emotions and turn a dull shot into something powerful. Ed Sheeran's 'I See Fire' was the soundtrack for the block buster; The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug and was met with huge success. The song was featured at the end credits of the film. The song reached number one in several countries including New Zealand and Norway and reached number 13 in the UK. This shows how successful a film can make a song.

With this in mind we have to have great consideration when choosing our own and shouldn't rush into a decision. We have been trawling through royalty free music sights like incomputech (see soundtrack post) and youtube and we settled on a soundtrack. Although we haven't started filming yet we felt the quicker we get the soundtrack the better as we can work around it when storyboarding and filming. The one we have chosen also fits perfectly and is exactly what we wanted from our soundtrack.

We wanted the soundtrack to start of slow, a slow pace and a slow build, until finally reaching a pinnacle moment when it drops and suddenly is loud and full of instruments and vocals. Taking all this into account, we chose Jose Gonzalez's 'Step Out' as we felt it had everything we needed.

Now we have the soundtrack it would be easier to fit different shots around it through the entire trailer. It can also help us with storyboarding and planning.
