We needed to get copyright on our soundtrack as it is done by an actual artist- jose Gonzalez. So here is a letter we wrote to ask permission from the record label:
To whom it may concern,
we are currently going through A-level media and our task is to produce a trailer for a new film. One part of the trailer is the soundtrack, and this is why I write this letter. We believe that a song that you own the rights to would be perfect for our trailer and so i ask if we can use 'Step out' in our project. I feel by asking you this it really pays homage to the level of brilliance in the song and so would wish to share it with other people.

After sending the email we received no reply from the record company.
